      Pedro Sánchez-Ocaña y Clavijo nació en Plasencia en 1850. Cursó sus estudios en Madrid, licenciándose en Derecho. En 1876 casó con Asunción Silva y Lozano, que era dueña de la finca San Polo, escenario de algunas de las fotografías. Pedro fue Diputado a Cortes y Senador. Falleció en plena actividad en 1901, a los 51 años de edad. Su mujer Asunción le sobrevivió viuda 32 años, viviendo en Plasencia, donde falleció en 1933 en su casa de la calle Blanca. El matrimonio tuvo cuatro hijos:
      El primero fue Fernando Sánchez-Ocaña y Silva, (1877 – 1921).
      Juan Sánchez-Ocaña y Silva, que nació en 1879
      María Eugenia Sánchez-Ocaña y Silva, nacida en 1882.
      Isabel Sánchez-Ocaña y Silva, nació en 1889
