      History

      Alcanzó gran prestigio entre 1880 y 1890 gracias a sus retratos y colaboraciones con publicaciones como La Ilustración Española y Americana. Junto a su hermano Fernando, fundó el estudio Fotografía Parisien, que se especializó en retratos individuales y grupales de nobles e intelectuales de la época, incluyendo a Alfonso XII y la Infanta Isabel de Borbón. Tras separarse profesionalmente en 1874, Edgardo consolidó su carrera, obteniendo medallas en exposiciones internacionales como Oporto, Florencia, Barcelona y París. Tras su muerte, su viuda continuó el negocio hasta 1902, cuando Pedro Calvet asumió el estudio y su fondo fotográfico.
